Chiropractic Adjustments
Chiropractic adjustments are a hands-on, or instrument-assisted, technique used to help restore normal motion to the joints of the spine and extremities. A chiropractor applies a controlled, precise force to a joint that has limited or restricted movement, with the general goal of improving joint mobility and supporting more comfortable movement patterns.
At Chiro In Brickell, adjustments are one of three core in-office services, alongside spinal decompression using KDT and shockwave therapy using a STORZ Masterpuls device. Adjustments are typically the starting point for a broader plan of care, since restoring joint mobility is generally intended to make other soft-tissue and movement-based work more effective.
What an adjustment generally involves
A chiropractor evaluates how a joint is moving, then applies a brief, targeted force to that joint — by hand or with an adjusting instrument. People often describe hearing a popping or cracking sound during an adjustment; this is a normal release of gas from the joint fluid and is not an indicator of anything being “put back into place.” The session is typically quick, and many people are able to resume normal activity immediately afterward.
Who commonly seeks chiropractic adjustments
People typically look into chiropractic adjustments when they are dealing with stiffness or discomfort connected to the neck, mid-back, or low back, or when a joint feels like it isn’t moving through its full, comfortable range. Office workers with prolonged sitting, people recovering from minor strains, and individuals looking to maintain mobility as part of a general wellness routine are all common candidates. These are general patterns, not a recommendation for any individual — only an in-person evaluation can determine whether adjustments are appropriate for a given situation.

Chiro In Brickell’s approach
Care is built around a three-part framework — Restore, Refine, Perform. Restore addresses what’s currently limiting you. Refine builds on what’s improving. Perform keeps care connected to your life — the aim is a plan with a finish line rather than a standing appointment, and a clear picture of the upkeep that holds the result once the active plan is done. This is a general way of describing how care is typically sequenced — not a guaranteed timeline or outcome, which varies by individual.
